Welcome to 1st grade at Bergen Meadow! My name is Meghan Edwards and I’ve been teaching for eleven years in grades 1-3. I was born in Wisconsin (Go Pack Go!) and grew up in New Jersey. I attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN where I received my undergraduate degree in Human and Organizational Development as well as my Master’s in Elementary Education. I live in Evergreen with my husband, daughter (5 years), and son (2.5 years). I love to hike, camp, water and snow ski, travel, read, and watch Packer football.

I’m really looking forward to this year and getting to know your child! I love seeing the growth the children make in 1st grade academically, socially, and emotionally. It’s such an important year and I’m excited to be a part of it. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get to know your child!

I am ecstatic to say that this will be my 3rd year teaching 1st grade at the Bergens! This will be my 7th year teaching elementary school students. I graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo with my BS in elementary education and continued my education at Cal Poly to earn my Master's in Special Education and autism research. I have taught a K/1 split in northern California for 3 years and worked as a learning specialist in Jefferson County for 1 year prior to coming to the Bergens.

Along with teaching and getting to know my students, I live in Golden with my firefighter husband, Wade, and our fur babies! I have a French Bulldog named Rory and a cross-eyed cat named Dizzy. My husband and I love the outdoors and going camping. When I'm not camping you can usually find me doing puzzles or taking pictures of other people's dogs.

My favorite part about teaching is the unique relationship that is created with each child. I love to create a safe environment where students are eager and excited to learn in the classroom. First grade brings many new challenges for our students and I love to guide them through those challenges in a positive way. I look forward to meeting you and adventuring through the school year!

Yea! I’m so excited to begin another year with all of the great families at the Bergens! I’ve been teaching for 19 years. This will be my 7th year at Bergen Meadow. I started teaching 1st grade, then moved to Kindergarten for 12 years. I am so happy to start my sixth year back in 1st grade!

I live in Evergreen with my wonderful husband, Rich, and our 2 cats, Sadie & Skippy Jon Jones. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, camping, hiking, spending time with all of our grandkids (6!) and pretty much just loving living in Colorado! I am also an avid Broncos fan, looking forward to a return trip to the Super Bowl!

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Literacy. I love to work and learn with children and their parents. I believe that we all work together as partners in this adventure we call “school”. My two favorite things about school are children’s laughter and to be able to see the light bulbs click on & hear “Oh, I get it!”. My classroom is a high-energy, interactive environment where I share my love of learning in a fun, supportive way. I am so fortunate to be in a place where all types of learning are valued and encouraged everyday.

Welcome to a great year of 1st Grade! As a former graduate of Bergen Meadow and the Evergreen schools, I am excited to continue to work in the community where I grew up. I have been teaching for 17 years. I currently reside in Georgetown with two of the 9 dogs we share as a family. I have two daughters, Cassidy-26 and Dakota-24, and as a family we enjoy spending time together, camping, skiing, playing and watching sports, traveling, reading, watching movies and laughing.

I received my Bachelors degree from Metro State where I majored in history and anthropology. My elementary teaching degree is from Fort Lewis College and my Masters degree in Arts Integration is from Lesley University. I continue to educate myself in the latest educational tools for instruction where I share my educational and technological experience with students and my teammates.

Teaching in the classroom is a continual reward. My classroom is an environment that is interactive, supportive and where children thrive. I provide exciting lessons that keep students engaged while differentiating to meet the range of needs a class brings. My broad educational experiences allows me to teach every learner, with students ranging from gifted to special needs. I teach with compassion and respect. My classroom is an exciting place to be where students have fun and love learning.
